New Experiences

Aunt Nanci decided to take the girls to Legoland for the first time…their first amusement park.   She said they enjoyed it, except that Amanda was too little for a lot of the rides and she’d need another adult to either ride with Eva or stay with Amanda.  They got to see a street performance, ride in a boat and see a bunch of miniature scenes made completely out of legos.   The visit was cut short because Eva had to go potty and refused to use a toilet without her padded toddler seat, which we had forgotten to send along.  Still, I hear they had a great time playing on the grassy knolls in the parking lot, and the pictures Nanci took were adorable.  

 

Aunt Nanci’s pool was a big hit, at least with Amanda.   She loved to kick her feet in the water and even try to “swim” by holding onto the top step and kicking one leg.   Aunt Nanci got her an adorable set of water wings and flotation vest that she could wear.   We tried to get Eva to go swimming, but she wasn’t interested. 

 

Amber and X have a trampoline in their backyard, and Amanda was eager to try it the first day.  We tried to get Eva to get on it, but she wouldn’t go near it until the very last night, when she saw her cousins enjoying it and decided to finally join in.  Then of course she had a blast and never wanted to get off!
