BACKYARD FUN

Summer is finally here, and the weather finally seems to be catching up.  The girls are enjoying the freedom of running around the yard in the sunshine, playing on the swing set, and loving the new teeter-totter that Aunt Nanci got Eva for her birthday.  It’s a hit!

 

The garden has exploded, but since the ground was only newly broken last month, most of the growth has been grass and weeds.   I tried to weed it myself in short spurts, but wasn’t getting very far with a big belly and achy back, so I hired my friend Angela’s 15-year old to weed it for me.   He did a great job, and now you can finally see the veggies starting to sprout.  J
