On The Prowl

Now fairly confident on her own two feet, Amanda is getting into EVERYTHING!  She loves to dig my wallet out of the diaper bag and go after the coin pocket.  She knows exactly where it is.  I’ve learned not to keep change in there anymore.  Whenever Eva goes to use the potty, Amanda follows her into the bathroom so she can play with the toilet paper, unraveling and shredding it all over the floor.   She’s also pretty good at climbing.  This morning I forgot to buckle her into the high chair while she was snacking on some cheerios.  I stepped away to use the bathroom, and when I came back she was sitting on the dining room table, playing with the butter.  She’d climbed right out of her seat, over the tray and onto the table.  Thank goodness she didn’t fall!  That was a wake-up call!

Amanda insists on feeding herself.  She’s got six chompers in the front (four up top, two on the bottom), and two bottom molars trying to break through.  Finger food is all that she’ll eat now, refusing to be fed with a spoon.  She’s also more interested in what WE’RE eating now, and would much rather have whatever is on our plate than hers, even if it’s the same thing (hers always looks different, because it’s been cut up).
