Since we’ve moved and sorted through our stuff, we’ve made quite a bit of cash selling stuff we don’t need on Craigslist.com. Another reason I love the internet! I’ve sold some of the dresses that neither of the girls got to wear because by the time it was warm enough, they’d outgrown them. I also sold all of the adorable “Baby Snoopy” crib bedding, so we can move on to the “Surfer Girl” theme as the girls get bigger. It’s sort of sad to see it go, but it’s also the start of a new era for us.
We’ve been pretty happy with the deals we’ve found on there, too. We bought a used frontloading Frigidaire washer/dryer set when we got the house, and they work much better than I expected, requiring a lot less soap and water to do the job. Dave found a lawn mower for $25 that he was able to fix in an afternoon, and it runs like a top. He also got 100ft of insulation needed for our air ducts that someone was selling as surplus. We’ve saved so much money without having to drive around blindly to various yard sales, and we’re hoping to find our fence materials that way, too.
I should post some stuff on there myself. lol Thanks for reminding me with this post.
ReplyDeleteWhere does that phrase "runs like a top" come from? when you think about it..a top you have to keep spinning and spinning and spinning..it's a lot of work to keep it going.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea! LOL! Maybe I should say, "runs like a dream", but how exactly does a dream "run", anyway?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't my man look all studly, posing proudly with his new lawnmower? :)
