Fun and Learning

Whenever we go to church or MOPS or the finance class, Eva goes to the same 2-year-olds room at East Hill.  The first few times she clung to Dave’s leg in apprehension, but now she’s familiar enough with the room and people that she runs in eagerly without so much as a backward glance.  They have a playhouse with slide and kitchen, and a fenced playground outside when the weather is warmer.   They always have a planned activity, so she’s not just babysat.  She gets an informal experience in participating with the group, following instructions, and completing a task, albeit a fun one.  When we come to pick her up there’s always a craft or drawing waiting for us, and she’s so proud of it.  “Gook, Daddy, made dat!”   Later she sees them on the wall at home, and she loves to point them out and remind us that she “made dat”.
