Battle of Wills

Toddlers are infamous for their stubborn streak, and ours is no exception.  Once Eva was so upset that Dave's hands were too full to carry her, she threw a royal tantrum in the parking lot and lay down in a muddy puddle of soggy leaves, refusing to walk.  Nap and bed times have become battles as she repeatedly gets up and comes out into the living room.  She always gets marched straight back to bed, but persists in trying anyway. Her latest ploy is to start asking for water, then tissues to wipe her nose, and sometimes she'll even hold it until naptime so she can ask for a diaper change.  Momma didn't raise no dummies! :)  If she's not getting far with one parent, she'll start crying for the other.  If Dave is making her stay in bed, she'll start begging for mommy.  If I'm the bad guy, she'll be calling  "Daddy!" between sobs.  Luckily Dave and I are on the same page, so that strategy rarely works.
